Parallel Coordinate Graph

A climograph is a graphical depiction of the monthly precipitation and temperature for a specific place. Here is one for Manaus, Brazil. Population Profile

Scatterplot

Index Value Plot

Lorenz Curve

Bilateral Graph

Nominal Area Choropleth Map

These types of maps show every value that the cartographer is trying to show. Each value gets a specific color and the parts of the map that have that characteristic get that color. Unstandardized Choropleth Map

Range Graded Proportional Circle Map

Continuously Variable Proportional Circle Map

DOQQ

DEM

DRG

Isopleths

Isopach

Infrared aerial photos are exactly what they sound like. Statistical Map

The Denver area crime report is the subject of this statistical map. The colors represent the areas in which crimes have increased or decreased in the years 2001 to 2002. Flow Map

Flow maps show the flow of one area to another through lines that follow the areas of travel. This particular one shows trucking routes the originate in Texas. Isoline Map

Choropleth Map

This choropleth map is that of electoral votes during the 2004 presidential election. The values are percentages of the votes that correspond to the voters. Dot Distribution Map
